Corey Deveaux is a school teacher and avid triathlete from Sydney, Nova Scotia. Corey was always active growing up, but he only began swimming, cycling, and running in late 2010. Since then, he has completed 5 Ironman triathlons, racing twice at the prestigious Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Most recently, he was the outright winner at Ironman Lake Placid, NY.
Corey has also found the podium at several other major triathlons, including Rev3 Maine and Challenge St. Andrews. He is on track for a solid race season, already hitting a personal best in the 10k at the Fredericton Marathon with a time of 34:51. Most recently, he had the “run of his life” on the famous Smokey Mountain leg of the Cabot Trail Relay.
Corey’s favourite aspect of training and racing is the camaraderie among athletes, and the physical and mental benefits of daily exercise.
